Pretty Bathmat

Materials: Size G hook
Knitting worsted weight, in desired color. I chose Wine and   White.

Each medallion is approx. 5 1/2 inches wide.

Ch3, join with a sl st, in 3rd ch from hook to form ring.

(MAKE 13)
ROW1: Ch3, 11dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of ch3.

ROW2: Ch3 , 2dc in same space, ch3. {skip next dc, 3dc in next dc, ch3} 5 times. Join with sl st to top of chain 3.

ROW3: Ch3, 1dc in same space, 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc {ch3, skip ch3,2dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc}5 times, ch3 and join.

ROW4: Ch3, 1dc in same space, dc aross to last st before ch3 space 2dc in last {ch3, skip ch3, 2 dc in next dc, 1dc in each dc to the last dc before the ch3 space, 2dc in last dc}5times, ch3 and join.

ROW 5 &6: Repeat row 4. row 5 having 9dc between ch3 spaces and                      row 6 having 11dc between ch3 spaces.

Fasten off.

Holding 2 medalions wrong sides facing, join medallions together by  sl st in the back loops of each adjoing mediallion.

Edging:
Row1: joining yarn to any dc, sc around entire mat. Ch 3 between each medallion. join with slst to beginning.
Row2:  ch 2, sc around entire mat, 3 sc in each ch 3 space, join with a sl st to beginning. Fasten off

Darn in all ends.
